Welcome to the Parish Church of St Laurence

This is a living church, a house of prayer. Each day, as for more than 800 years, God is worshipped here faithfully through word and sacrament. Each year we welcome 40 000 pilgrims and visitors to our beautiful church.

We look forward to welcoming you to this sacred space which is an oasis of calm amidst the busyness of the town. Here everyone's need for stillness and peace is understood and respected.
