Team Rector - Position currently vacant
The Revd James Stewart, Acting Team Rector
James Stewart read history and war studies at York and London Universities and worked for a number of years as a school teacher and a university administrator before qualifying as a solicitor. He trained for the priesthood on the North East Ordination Course while a lawyer in the Crown Prosecution Service, and was ordained at Ripon Cathedral in 1993. He served curacies in the Yorkshire Dales before being appointed Vicar of Catterick in 1998. He came to Ludlow in 2003.
As Team Vicar he shares responsibility with the Team Rector for the worshipping life of St.Laurence's and is parish priest for the six villages north of Ludlow. Since 2007 he has also been Rural Dean of Ludlow.
He is married to Mary and they have five children and three grandchildren. For relaxation he enjoys gardening, acting, and writing bad poetry.

Fr Richard Green, Acting Team Rector
Fr Richard was appointed Team Vicar in the Ludlow Team Ministry in 2005. Before that he was assistant curate in the parish of Cockerton, a suburb of Darlington, Co. Durham. A native of Wells, Somerset, Fr Richard read politics at Exeter University before training for ordination at St Stephen's House, Oxford.
In his role as Team Vicar Fr Richard is parish priest to the six villages south of Ludlow. In addition to this he is Chaplain of Ludlow Community Hospital, where he leads an ecumenical chaplaincy team consisting of two other paid chaplains and nine volunteers. He also takes part, along with other team clergy, in leading worship at St Laurence's. In his spare time Fr Richard enjoys reading, keeping fit and walking his black Labrador, Brae.

The Revd Preb Ann Barge, Team Priest
Preb. Barge trained on the Southwark Ordination Course whilst working at Christian Aid Headquarters in Waterloo. She was licensed at All Saints, Hereford before moving to the Ludlow Team.
Much of her ministry is on the fringes of the Church and as a member of the Council for Social Responsibility she is involved with working groups on drugs, events for World AIDS Day and has links with the Mental Health Team and the Terence Higgins Trust.
Ann enjoys music, reading, watching "Eastenders", knitting and walking with her husband, Ian, and being entertained by her crazy rescue dog, Lucky.

The Revd John Beesley, Team Curate
Having been born and brought up in rural Oxfordshire, John then moved to Christchurch, Dorset where he was involved in the life of the Priory. He trained as a teacher in Lancaster. He spent six years teaching in a primary school on the Fylde, after which he moved to a job in Herefordshire and then to a school across the Welsh border, in Powys. Throughout this time John had been actively involved in the life of local churches, most recently as churchwarden at Pembridge, and a growing sense of calling led him to offer himself for ordination. John trained in Ludlow on WEMTC, continuing to teach at the same time. The training included a period on a placement in Ludlow, chiefly at St Laurence's. John was ordained in 2009 and became curate to the Ludlow Team Ministry.
In his spare time John enjoys walking, sailing and photography and he enjoys travel, particularly to Italy and the Scottish Islands.

The Revd Steve Jarvis, Minister in Secular Employment
Steve was ordained in this parish in 2007, and is a NSM assistant curate within Ludlow Team Ministry. By day he works as Connexions Personal Adviser working for the local authority with young people at risk within the local area. Steve holds a degree in Youth & Community Education, and trained for ordination with the West of England Ministerial Training Course.
Within the team, Steve's role is as a Minister in Secular Employment and Ordained Pioneer Minister with responsibility for developing and supporting 'Fresh Expressions' of church. As part of this ministry, Steve is a chaplain at Ludlow College, and provides input into chaplaincy provision at Ludlow CE School.
Steve sums up his ministry as being 'of the Church, but not necessarily in it every Sunday!'
