December2009

Greetings from St. Laurence's Church, Ludlow

This first e-newsletter coincides with Advent, the beginning of the church's year. We are now in interregnum, having bid farewell to Brian & Tessa Curnew who have moved to Headcorn in Kent. We are anxiously awaiting the appointment of a new team rector.

The December issue of "The Tower" (St. Laurence's monthly newsletter) is now available for downloading from St. Laurence's web-site link as is the December newsletter from the St. Laurence's Conservation Trust.

On Sunday 6 December, a large congregation filed in to St. Laurence's for the recording of the BBC Shropshire service of nine lessons and carols. This will be broadcast on Sunday 20 December at 7 am and on Christmas day at 1 pm. For those of you not in the area served by BBC Shropshire, note that broadcasts may be heard live via the BBC Shropshire website.
