The Windows

Nine major windows have been rebuilt.

John Ward from Underwoods refitted the ferramenta (wrought iron frame) to one of the south clerestorey windows.

This picture was taken from inside as one of the rebuilt glass panels was refitted (south clerestorey windows). Each of these windows took two man-weeks in the workshop to rebuild.

The restoration of the west window of the north aisle was funded as a specific project by the Friends of St Laurence (now incorporated into the Conservation Trust).

Craftsmen from Church Conservation Ltd replaced some of the stonework around the west window with its 'ball flower' ornamentation. Each of these stones cost over £400.
